How many women can say they’ve written for Wonder Woman? The list has grown over the years (thankfully), and Mindy Newell was one of the first few to have done so. Hired to work for DC by editor Karen Berger, Newell scripted issues of Action Comics, as well as Legion of Super-Heroes, before moving on to Wonder Woman. She also brought Lois Lane to life in the pages of her own series and contributed to the First Comics’ series American Flagg.
