Jill Thompson
When DC Editor Karen Berger hired Jill Thompson to illustrate Wonder Woman, there was no way she could have known she was hiring a future multi-Eisner award winner. There were hints, and they became gradually more evident when Neil Gaiman spotted her work and asked that she be allowed to work on Sandman. From there, Thompson’s career sky-rocketed, and she was soon to focus on her own series, Scary Godmother. Scary Godmother spawned books and film and has been described as “Toy Story meets Tim Burton”.
