Ann Nocenti is not only a writer, editor, and filmmaker – she is also a comic book character. Don’t believe me? She has appeared multiple times (more than some actual fictional characters can say).

If you look closely, you will see Tigra standing on a fire escape at the bottom left. That’s Nocenti in costume.

And here she is talking to Steve Rogers.

And also the Incredible Hulk #291.

It’s, of course, not all she’s done. After Frank Miller’s run on Daredevil, Nocenti took over. It was a daunting task, but one she excelled at, leaving her own mark on the title with characters Typhoid Mary, Longshot, and others.

After debuting in Marvel’s Bizarre Adventures in 1982, Nocenti also wrote for Doctor Strange, Amazing Spider-Man, and Batman for DC Comics.
