In 1984, June Brigman and Louise Simonson created the Power Pack for Marvel Comics. Brigman handled the pencils, and Simonson gave the characters their voices. Brigman had only been involved in comics for a year, having joined AC Comics in 1983, only to move to DC a short time later. Once Power Pack took off, she stayed with Marvel for several years.

In the mid-1990’s she worked on the Supergirl mini-series for DC, another for Dark Horse, before settling in to become the artist for Brenda Starr, Reporter, a syndicated newspaper comic strip.

When Brenda Starr hung up her reporter badge a decade later, Brigman returned to comics to do freelance work for both Marvel and DC. She then settled in to do the penciling for Mary Worth in 2016, a newspaper strip that has been in circulation since 1938.
